About The Taos Goji Eco Lodge Retreat Center
Taos Goji Eco Lodge Retreat & Organic Goji Berry Farm is nestled at the foot of the Sangre De Cristo Mountains in San Cristobal, New Mexico. Situated on 40 acres of open fields, goji, flower and vegetable gardens, this is a beautiful and ideal setting for a getaway retreat.
With active farm life, but still quiet and serene, this is the perfect spot to unwind and reflect. With an abundance of native plants and wildlife, bird watchers have counted more than one hundred species in and about our groves and ponds. They produce their own food in the summer and their deep wells provide the farm with crystal-clear water that is the life of the land.
Their farm is located close to Taos, the Taos Ski Valley and Red River, and is surrounded by the immense beauty of Carson National Forest. The valley inhabitants date back hundreds, if not thousands of years. Archeological sites abound. The San Cristobal creek runs through the valley's middle from the lofty peak of Gold Hill, and the Rio Grande wild land corridor is just to the west.
It's notable that during the last one hundred years in San Cristobal, and in particular at the Taos Goji Farm, numerous literati passed through the farm. Some stayed overnight, others stayed for long periods, while the locals stopped off for mail, groceries or kerosene at the historic Trading Post (the couples workshop portion of the retreat will take place in the Trading Post Cabin). The cabins are named after some of these visitors. The cabins represent the original craftsmanship of early settlers. Constructed of logs and adobe, and they appear unchanged for the last one hundred years.
